Shortly explained - grassland research

In this video, Ralf Kiese briefly presents grassland research within the TERENO Pre-Alpine Observatory. The Institute for Meteorology and Climate Research - Atmospheric Environmental Research of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology operates the observatory in the Bavarian Pre-Alps and is part of the TERENO network with a total of four Earth observation observatories in Germany. The aim of this unique large-scale project is to record the long-term ecological, social and economic effects of global change on a regional scale. In the Pre-Alpine Observatory, the main focus is on the effects of climate change and management on grassland and its ecosystem functions. The data and findings from the Pre-Alpine Observatory also feed into our SUSALPS project .
